Hi, I'm Kaivalya. I work at Fiddler Labs, building scalable monitoring solutions to make machine learning models robust and explainable. I am optimistic about the beneficial impacts of modern technology, and want my future work to facilitate these goals. My interests broadly encompass interpretable and fair machine learning; and I am passionate about accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence in an inclusive, safe and ethical manner.
I recently graduated with a Master's degree in Data Science from Harvard IACS, where I did research with Prof. Hima Lakkaraju on algorithmic recourse and counterfactual explanations, and also took additional computer science and engineering classes at MIT. I further complemented my technical education through coursework spanning scientific innovation, entrepreneurship, and legal theory at the Harvard Business and Law Schools.
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from BITS-Pilani, India. I have also studied at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, done research at the Data Management and Analytics Lab, Nanyang Technological Universtiy, Singapore, and worked at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, University of Bremen, Germany.
